Privacy policy

TailorSage is a mobile sewing app published by S. Durègne, an independent developer. It helps you sew clothes and accessories to your measurements. This policy explains what data is collected, for what purposes, and how it is protected. The body measurements you save are personal data: we handle them with the utmost care.

1. Data collected

TailorSage only collects the data needed to work:

• Identifier: email address or Apple identifier (Sign in with Apple).
• Profile: first name, language, region (entered by you).
• Measurements: your body measurements (bust, waist, hips, and depending on the pattern some additional measurements), expressed in centimetres. You can save several people (you and your loved ones) with their own measurements.
• Sewing projects: project name, chosen pattern, options, step progress, and any notes or feedback you add.
• Sewing profile: your level and the type of machine you own.
• Conversations with Coco (AI assistant): your questions and the generated answers, to keep the exchange consistent.
• Technical data: anonymised error logs, app version, device model — solely to diagnose bugs.

TailorSage collects no advertising data, uses no third-party tracker, no behavioural analytics pixel, and no audience measurement tool.

2. Purposes

• Authentication and synchronisation across your devices.
• Saving your profile, your measurements and your projects.
• Adapting patterns to your measurements (calculating the pattern to your size).
• Personalised answers from the Coco assistant.
• Technical diagnostics in case of a bug.

3. Hosting and location

Your data is stored on Supabase servers, located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). It is not transferred outside the EU for storage.

When you ask Coco a question, the content of your question and the minimal context of your project (pattern, current step, and the measurements useful for the advice) are sent to generate an answer:

• Anthropic (Claude model) — to write Coco's answer.
• OpenAI — solely to turn your question into a search marker, in order to find the most relevant help content to offer you.

These providers act as processors: they process your question to deliver the service, without reusing your data for other purposes. No identifying data (email, name) is sent to them.

4. Data sharing

Your data is never sold, nor shared with third parties for commercial purposes, nor used for advertising.

The only third parties that process part of your data are our technical processors, listed above (Supabase hosting, and Anthropic / OpenAI for the Coco assistant), strictly to run the app.

5. Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Delete my account). Your profiles, measurements and projects are then marked for deletion, and permanently erased within 30 days.

6. Your loved ones' measurements

TailorSage lets you save other people's measurements (for example if you sew for your family, including children). These measurements are saved under your account, under your responsibility. If you save another person's data, it is up to you to inform them. This data follows exactly the same protection and deletion regime as yours.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access and portability of your data.
• Right of rectification.
• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
• Right to object to processing.
• Right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

8. Cookies and identifiers

The TailorSage app uses no cookies. The tailorsage.fr website is static and uses neither tracking cookies nor audience measurement tools. No consent banner is therefore needed.

9. Security

All communications between the app and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS / TLS 1.2+). Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to data is protected by strict rules at the database level (Row-Level Security): you can only access your own data.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or the law. The last updated date appears at the top of this page.
